Volunteering is so rewarding

"No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted." Aesop

What a lovely quote, and how very true. This week is Volunteers Week, and the national theme is 'Uniquely Us'. This theme is most appropriate, because Age Concern North Dorset it a unique, small charity with big goals and huge commitment!

It is so important that we take time to recognise and thank those who devote their time to supporting us, as we strive to deliver the very best support services that we can.

We'd like to say an enormous thankyou to our wonderful team of volunteers, including our dedicated Chairwoman, Treasurer, and Trustees, without whom we wouldn't be here providing our valued, and much needed services. You are all amazing!

Volunteering, if you've some time to spare, can be hugely rewarding, and as beneficial to the volunteer as it is to those we serve in the community. We'd love to hear from you, even if you've just a couple of hours a week to spare, every moment is valuable to us and so appreciated.

Perhaps you're someone who loves a coffee and a good natter, or are you a good listener, able to empathise with older people? Would you enjoy helping run our wonderful charity bookstall, or helping run our fitness classes? Are you someone who loves to organise events and get out in the community? Whatever you have to offer we have a role for you at Age Concern North Dorset.

If you would like to find our more about volunteering with us, please give us a call on 01258 475582, or e-mail info@acnorthdorset.org.uk
