On Saturday the 29th of June we attended the Hey Day event at the Queen Elizabeth II recreation ground in Child Okeford. What a wonderful day we had!
Throughout the year, to raise additional funds for our small, independent charity, we attend events with our pre loved bookstall. Local events are also a wonderful way for our volunteers and staff to engage with communities and raise awareness of our cause. It truly was so nice to meet so many people, and talk about our very special charity and the important work we do in our local area.
We are delighted to share that we raised £150 which will go towards providing our many services supporting later life. We are so grateful to everyone that visited our stall.
Hey Day was a really engaging and fun event, and it was very well supported. We enjoyed looking at all the other stalls and exhibits, and we must say a huge congratulations to the organising committee for orchestrating such a fantastic day!
We will next be at Marnhull Fest on the 20th of July, and then at Riverside Family Fest in Sturminster Newton on the 17th of August. Do come along and visit our pre loved bookstall. We will also have a wonderful lucky dip for little ones at our next two events.
