Bereavement support

A recent review of our services identified a need for bereavement support.

This is a friendship and practical support service with trained staff and volunteers.

Bereavement has many forms – the death of a loved one, the loss of a good friend, a much loved pet, divorce or even the loss of a job can all knock you off balance emotionally, physically and mentally.    When you are bereaved you have to cope with a world that can feel as if it’s fallen apart and you lose your sense of identity and self worth.

We offer a listening ear, practical support, a hand to hold and help to regain confidence and feel less overwhelmed by your loss and able to begin to make sense of the world again.

We are actively seeking volunteers to train for this sensitive service.

Please phone 01258 475582  or email ac.northdorset@surfwise.co.uk

This service is supported by Awards for All
